Painting workshops with lesley seeger

Suitable for both adventurous beginners and experienced artists who want to loosen up their style.

The organic process and exploration of colour involved in my own practice is reflected in my teaching. I encourage people to find their own creative voices, develop their own techniques and become expansive and experimental in their work.

We consider composition, tone and colour and explore a range of painterly techniques such as layering, washes, printing and scratching out and also examine how different brushes can be used to make various types of mark making.

Workshops are usually held in the outstandingly beautiful village of Hutton's Ambo near Malton as well as other beauty spots such as Helmsley Walled Gardens and The Yorkshire Arboretum near Castle Howard. I can also travel to a group near you.

“Thank you for making me feel so welcome. It was a really memorable day in a stunning setting. The day was engrossing due to your expert teaching and hospitality and I find your work a true inspiration.”
