There is nothing like an English Spring. These trees lie above the river Derwent and beyond them are the Yorkshire Wolds. The largest trees must be at least three hundred years old and I wonder how much this view has changed over the years.  As I stood in this field in early May the Buttercups came out until the entire field was yellow.  The white May Blossom was just beginning and the new leaves on the trees were golden yellow.
